Slocan River Float TO BE CONFIRMED
After a hard weekend of Ultimate Frisbee abuse, it’s time for relaxation and … more abuse! Bring your floaties and your cocktails, raft up, dress down and come float the Slocan River, Kootenay-style.
When: Monday August 5th, 10am meet up at Train Station/tourist info parking lot and 11am car drop at Crescent Valley bridge.
Where: Slocan River
Floaties available at Walmart and Lordco in Nelson, BC.
NO GLASS on the water. Bring cans or plastic but please respect the river – carry out what you bring on the river.
Be respectful of private land along the river.
It is at least a ½ hour drive to Slocan Park from Nelson. Account for the vehicle drop-off and other hitches (hangovers, sore bodies, etc.)
This float takes 3-4 hours! Be prepared for hot sun, cold water, and no amenities or easy rescues – natural and man-made hazards exist on the river. BE CAREFUL. SAFETY THIRD.
